DescriptionAssistant Supervisor Cashier - Financial Operations Cashiers-Mount Sinai Morningside/West -Full-Time Days
Performs a variety of supervisory functions depending on assigned area patient financial services (Finance and Collection).
Responsibilities- Accept daily deposits, cash, checks and credit card from practices throughout the Medical Center and off sites.
- Responsible for the preparation of Daily Cash Deposits to banks
- Responsible for the preparation of Daily Checks-utilizing scanners to banks
- Assist with the preparation of excel spreadsheets for daily reporting of cash, checks and credit cards to Professional Financial Services, General Accounting and Control Unit.
- Assist in the preparation of Special Fund Reports
- Prepare Daily Inpatient and Outpatient Reports
- Distribute cash for petty cash transactions
- Distribute Metro Cards to clinical practices
- Distribute checks received from Accounts Payable
- Provide patients with information concerning billing inquiries
- Assist Department’s Supervisor with special projects and other tasks deemed necessary
Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of Supervisory or related experience
- Ability to read, count and write to accurately complete daily work
- Ability to work in a fast paced, multi-task environment
- Sort and count currency and coins
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods
- Should be able to deal tactfully and pleasantly with staff
- Good organizational and computer skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Oracle Cloud, EPIC knowledge (training provided)
- Computer skills, basic windows suite
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $58,661.00 - $66,792.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
