This is a full-time position Monday-Friday, 9-5pm, hours may vary and MUST be flexible with scheduling.
Objective:
We are looking for an experienced recruiter to join our HR team in identifying hiring needs and filling job openings. The responsibilities of a recruiter include identifying future hiring needs, designing job descriptions, sourcing candidates through databases and applicant tracking systems, conducting interviews, filing paperwork, and keeping abreast of employment law and legislation. The Recruiter will also monitor new and existing employee files / folders along with fully onboarding new hires.
The successful recruiter will have excellent interpersonal skills, be organized and detail-oriented, remain up to date with employment legislature, and will stay informed of company hiring events such as job fairs that they will need to attend and participate in. The recruiter will have extensive experience in assessing candidates' skills, experience, and relevant knowledge and compare them to job requirements.

Required Education and Experience:
Work Environment: This job operates in an office environment. There will be occasional travel to our shelter sites and/or supportive housing site locations throughout New York City as needed, except Staten Island.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, climb stairs and/ or kneel. Occasionally the employee will have to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
